morning, mitt romney is another step closer to capturing the republican presidential nomination. he won yesterday's illinois primary and did it in impressive fashion. he defeated rick santorum by 12 points. ron paul finished third, and newt gingrich was in fourth place. this was romney's second victory of the week. he won puerto rico's primary in a landslide on sunday. >>> romney has yet to win the gop nomination, but he's looking ahead to november's general election. he mentioned his republican opponents very little in his victory speech and instead focused criticism on president obama whom he vowed to defeat this fall.
